Teaching Our Children to Look for God in Their Lives ... Just Keep Talking! They are Listening!

Tyler was asked to play his trumpet at Mass yesterday.

At the end of Mass the cantor announced the final song and said the trumpets would be playing the intro to Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory alone as a tribute to those who died in Paris over the weekend. It was a powerful announcement, and the entire church was silent. Then the trumpets played. It was beautiful.

Tyler has never played that song before rehearsal yesterday, but he hit every note.

In the car on the way home he said it must have been God that helped him do that because it was a special song and tribute.

That made me feel so happy! If I am doing one thing right as a mother, I hope it is teaching my children to see God at work in their lives.
