Often during difficult or stressful conversations with our spouse we respond in haste, which causes potentially hurtful words to fly out of our mouths. Instead of being quick to respond and defend or plead your case, PAUSE. Give the Holy Spirit room to shape your response. You will know it is the spirit when your response is graceful instead of hurtful. Words from God are never hurtful.

A very powerful suggestion when conflict arises…before responding to the other person, pause and alllow the Spirit time to move through you…this is very true…never fight fire with fire…Amen!
