What Door is God Opening for You?

This is where we can sometimes get tripped up. We all know, "ask and you shall receive," but we need to remember that receiving doesn't always look like what we thought.

We might receive something different or seemingly nothing at all. The door may not be opened when we want it to. Or it may be a different door than we thought. But it will be for the best. It always is. 

We will be happiest if we are open to this concept. If we are flexible with what comes our way. If we trust God and walk the path that we are on. 

It reminds me of when we moved back to Chicago from Florida. I wasn't thrilled with the idea of leaving Florida, but I knew it was what we needed to do. Once we made the decision, God served us our move on a silver platter. He made it so easy. He opened up doors unexpectedly. 

I could tell you a hundred stories of how God worked through this one situation in my life. It was remarkable. Some of my biggest blessings. 

Notably was that my father was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer just months after we moved back. I'll never forget that moment of learning that painful, scary news and knowing EXACTLY why I had to move back. I had to be here.

So even when things are not going as you expect, TRUST that God is working behind the scenes for you. It just might look different than you expected.
