This Mother’s Day, maybe you’ll be celebrated with flowers or brunch or a hand-written note. Maybe you’ll spend the day doing what you love most. Or maybe it’ll just be a normal Sunday—filled with ordinary chores and tiny moments that don’t make it into the scrapbook.
But today, I want to remind you of something important: your kids won’t remember everything you did… but they will remember how you made them feel. They’ll remember the warmth of your hugs at the end of a hard day. They’ll remember your laugh echoing in the kitchen. They’ll remember how you cheered from the sidelines and waited up late and made their favorite snack just because. They won’t remember the laundry. They won’t remember the mess. They won’t remember that one week you missed a practice or forgot to sign the permission slip. What they will carry with them is your presence. Your love. Your steadiness. So if you feel like you’ve been running on empty lately—or questioning if you’re doing enough—please know: you are. Your love is enough. Your presence is powerful. The way you keep showing up, even when it’s hard… that’s the stuff that shapes hearts and strengthens souls. And if you're needing a moment to breathe, reflect, or feel grounded again, I’d be honored to walk with you. I offer one-on-one coaching sessions to help moms like you reconnect with your purpose, find balance and create space for the life you want to lead. If that sounds like a gift you’d like to give yourself, you can learn more and book a session HERE! To every mom reading this: you’re doing sacred work. You’re raising humans. You’re loving deeply. You’re doing better than you think. Happy Mother’s Day. 💐

When my children were little, summer always seemed to stretch out before us like a wide, welcoming field—sunlit, endless and full of possibility.
To make the most of it, we created a simple tradition: a Summer Bucket List. We’d gather around the kitchen table with a pile of colorful sticky notes and dream together. Each of us would write down ideas—big dreams, little joys, silly outings—and we’d stick them all to a bulletin board. That board became our treasure map. On slow days, we’d stand in front of it, close our eyes, point to a note... and off we would go. Some days were grand: a trip to the zoo, an afternoon at the splash pad, a night under the stars with sparklers in hand. Other days were sweetly simple: baking cookies, sidewalk chalk masterpieces, building a fort out of sofa cushions. It was never about doing everything. It was about having inspiration at our fingertips—and permission to enjoy both fun days and slow days. Here’s how you can create your own Summer Bucket List: 1. Gather Your People. Kids, spouse, friends or just yourself. Anyone who wants a voice in the adventure. 2. Dream Freely. No idea is too big or too small.
3. Write It Down. Sticky notes, scraps of paper, an old chalkboard—it doesn’t have to be fancy. The magic is in capturing the ideas. 4. Build a Display. We loved using a bulletin board, but you could also fill a jar, a journal or string notes along a wall with clothespins. 5. Choose As You Go. Some days you’ll crave adventure. Some days you’ll crave rest. Let the list be an invitation, not a to-do list. Fun Days + Slow Days = A Balanced Summer Not every day needs fireworks and road trips. Some of the sweetest summer memories are made in the slow, unscheduled hours. Give yourself—and your family--permission to rest, permission to play, permission to savor. A nap in the hammock. Drippy popsicles on the front porch. Board games while the thunder rolls outside. Evening walks where you spot fireflies. This summer, may your bucket list be more about joy than busyness. More about connection than checking off boxes. More about being than doing. Because these are the days that will linger in your hearts long after the sticky notes have fluttered to the floor. ☀️🌸🌿 This summer, may your bucket list be more about joy than busyness. More about connection than checking off boxes. More about being than doing. And if you find yourself longing for more balance—not just in summer, but in the rhythm of your whole life—I’d love to walk alongside you. As a Life Coach, I help women create lives filled with purpose, presence and peace. If that sounds like something your heart is craving, you’re warmly invited to reach out. Because your life deserves to feel as beautiful as a slow summer day. 💛 Book a Discovery Call HERE! We’re not quite there yet. The finish line is in sight, but it’s still a few bends away. Backpacks are hanging on—barely. Moms are holding it together—barely. And the calendar? It’s starting to look a little… unhinged. Yes, May is coming. That beautiful, bananas month that moms lovingly call Maycember-- because somehow, it’s as packed as December, but without the twinkly lights and cookies. Field trips, finals, recitals, class parties, graduation ceremonies. All the "lasts" pile up in one big, beautiful, overwhelming swirl. And in the midst of the to-dos, it’s easy to miss the truth hiding in plain sight: Your child has grown. So. Much. And so have you. But before we race toward June—before the signing of yearbooks and tossing of caps-- I want to gently invite you into a moment of pre-May reflection. Because what if we didn’t wait until summer to say, “Wow, look at what God has done”? What if we snuck in a breath now, before the rush? Maybe that looks like journaling for five minutes during carpool. Or flipping through the photos on your phone and remembering how small they looked in August. Maybe it’s whispering a prayer of gratitude as you fold the 437th load of laundry. This isn't about doing more. Lord knows your plate is already full. This is about being present in the middle of the mayhem. Choosing to see the sacred in the stretch marks of the school year. Because growth doesn’t always shout—it often whispers. And you, sweet mama, have been the steady ground beneath it all. So, before the madness of Maycember kicks in… Pause. Breathe. Let your heart take a snapshot. And give thanks—not just for the destination, but for every single step of the journey. A Mini Gratitude Moment (Just for You, Mama) Before you rush off to the next Maycember moment, take five quiet minutes. No fancy journal needed—just your heart and a little space to breathe. Here are a few gentle questions to guide your reflection:
You’re doing a beautiful job, mama. The sun is stretching longer into the evening sky. The school year is beginning to wind down. And your heart… is probably somewhere between excitement and overwhelm. Summer is coming, and with it, a golden opportunity. Not just to fill your calendar—but to shape your summer with intention. Not just to keep up with the busyness—but to step into what truly brings life. So before the rush begins, take a quiet moment. Breathe in. Grab your journal or a cup of coffee. And ask yourself these three simple, powerful questions: 1. 🌱 What do I want MORE of this summer?Let your heart answer before your to-do list does. Do you long for more slow mornings on the porch? More laughter around the dinner table? More time outdoors, more peace in your soul more connection with your kiddos? Don’t be afraid to dream a little. This is your invitation to make space for what fills you up. 2. 🧹 What do I want LESS of?This is your permission slip. Less overcommitting. Less guilt for saying no. Less screen time, rushing, yelling, comparing, multitasking. What can be cleared out to make room for joy? What burden can be laid down so you can travel lighter through these sunlit months? 3. 🌻 What’s one must-do memory I want to make? This one’s for your heart. For your family’s story. Think simple and sweet: A beach day. A homemade pizza night under twinkle lights. Catching fireflies. A road trip. A sleep-in Saturday with pancakes and pajamas. Choose just one memory that will matter more than the mess or the schedule. And then—make it happen. Guard it. Celebrate it. ☀️ You don’t need a perfect summer. You just need a purposeful one. One where your soul gets to breathe. Where your people feel seen. Where you come alive in small, sacred moments. So before the season sweeps you off your feet, pause and plant a little intention. Ask yourself these three questions. And then begin shaping a summer you won’t want to forget. Want help making space in your schedule for the summer you truly want? I’d love to walk with you. Coaching can help you clear the clutter, set boundaries, and live your values with confidence. Let’s connect. Do you ever feel like your schedule is running you instead of the other way around? Like you’re caught in a relentless cycle of carpools, commitments, and to-do lists—leaving no space to simply breathe? Maybe the weight of keeping all the plates spinning has dulled the joy you once felt in your own home.
That is about to change. A new season needs a new strategy, and this spring, we are choosing something radical: margin, presence, and peace. Just as we throw open the windows and shake off the dust of winter, we can do the same with our time—decluttering the things that exhaust us and making room for the things that truly matter. Let's start this now in preparation for summer! Step 1: Invite God Into the Process Before crossing anything off your calendar, take a deep breath. Lay it all before God. Ask Him: 📖 “Lord, am I holding onto things that no longer serve my family? What would it look like to follow Your lead in this season?” Sometimes, our busyness is a way of seeking control. But God is doing something new (Isaiah 43:19), and we don’t want to be too overbooked to notice it. Step 2: Assess What’s Life-Giving vs. Life-Draining Not everything on your calendar deserves a place in this season. Some things were for then—they don’t have to be for now. Ask yourself:
Step 3: Make Room for What Matters Margin is not laziness. Rest is holy. God Himself modeled it. When we create white space in our schedules, we’re not losing productivity—we’re gaining peace, flexibility, and presence. What if this summer could feel different?
Step 4: Set Boundaries & Trust God’s PlanWe are not meant to say yes to everything. Saying no can be an act of faith—trusting that God will fill in the gaps and lead us where we need to be. 📖 “For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1) This is a season of renewal. A season to clear the clutter, embrace simplicity, and make room for joy. Spring is here, and hope is rising. Let’s make space for it. Your Turn: What’s one thing you can release from your schedule this season? Comment below—I’d love to hear what’s on your heart! 💛
I just got back from a trip to Australia with my husband. He was scheduled to go there on business, so I decided to join him at the end of the business trip so we could do some exploring together.
This was a really difficult decision for me to make on so many levels. I tend to be very practical and sensible, and going on this trip seemed a bit crazy. But I made the decision to go anyway and saw such amazing benefits. I want to share that with you in hopes it inspires you. If you tune into this episode of the podcast you’ll get to hear a little bit about the things we did on our trip and how it impacted us and our marriage. Also, I have created a free Communication in Marriage video for you. In just 30 minutes, this video will teach you how to make the communication in your marriage more positive and productive. My client Katie’s husband ditched her on date night. She was hurt and angry. She wanted to talk with him about it, but she knew it wouldn’t do any good coming from a place of anger and frustration. But she couldn’t let it go.
So we worked together to create the mental space for her to have that meaningful conversation with him, and as a result, they could both walk away from the experience as a bonding opportunity, instead of a damaging one. Tune in to learn how you can apply this tool to your marriage for more peace, understanding and intimacy. Also, I have created a free Communication in Marriage video for you.
