How To Find Joy In Waiting

Often in life we are waiting ... for a job, for a new love, for a cure, to feel happier, for things to be better ... Those of us who believe in God are so "lucky" -- because God gives us hope. He gives us joy in waiting. In today's Jesus Calling we learn to imagine hope as a golden cord connecting us to heaven. (My cord is beautiful and sparkly and brilliant.) It helps us hold our head up and keep our feet moving while we journey on a road that seems uphill. Isn't that a peaceful image? So the next time you are feeling hopeless, remember the cord and say a little prayer. Ask God what action you can take while you are "waiting."
