Cheetos in the Morning -- my Experience with the 3 Day Refresh
OMG, you guys! I just finished my first cleanse. It was a 3 day cleanse. I am so glad I did it. It was much easier than I thought it would be, and I learned some pretty interesting things about myself over those three days.
Most importantly ..... I. EAT. ALL. OF. THE. TIME.
Holy cow. I didn't realize all of the little ways I sneak bites of food here and there!
• Licking peanut butter off the knife after making kids lunches
• Stealing Cheetos from the bag while putting some in zip locks for the kids lunches
• Swiping a few of Alyssa's Cheez-It's from her snack bowl after school
• Popping in a cherry tomato while walking by the fruit basket at any give time. Not ... even ... hungry.
• Opening up a can of black olives to snack on while making dinner ...
You guys, the list goes on and on! I am cracking up writing this! Everwhere I looked over these 3 days, food was taunting me! LOL!
So, the benefits of doing a cleanse are to kick bad eating habits to the curb, gain energy and lose a couple of pounds quick. I did all 3! In my case, I was not trying to lose weight, but I was participating to learn about what a cleanse is like to be able to better able to support my clients.
What makes this cleanse different than other ones is that you do eat food. It's not just liquid-based. You eat REAL food. WHOLE food. Yummy food!
I had 2 other clients who particpated in the cleanse with me over these same 3 days, and they both loved it, too! One of them survived without cheating even with her daughter's birthday as a part of it! She is my hero!
This would be something great to do if you want to lose a couple of pounds quickly -- before a vacation, after a vacation, after a long weekend of eating lots of yummy foods and goodies, before or after the holidays, or any time you feel ready to take control of your eating!
